Mr. Muñoz's exceptional career includes international investigations, such as his involvement in identifying the Avianca Airlines crash in January 1990 in both the United States and Bogota, Colombia. He has also trained law enforcement representatives from Latin American countries in hostage and crisis negotiations in collaboration with the U.S. State Department.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Mr. Muñoz has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Robert F. Stankye Memorial Award for valor from the Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association. He has also been honored with Medal of Commendations, Meritorious Awards, Top-Cop of the Month Awards, and Distinguished Service Awards.
